The Friends of the Library will host book sales on the following dates:
- February 7-8, 2020
April 10-11, 2020 (w/craft fair) July 10-11, 2020 September 4-5, 2020
- October 2-3, 2020
December 4-5, 2020Cancelled due to the pandemic
At the present time, there are no booksales scheduled for 2021.
You can find our Friends of the Library Book Sale in the basement of the Idaho Falls Public Library. Sale doors open at 10:00am and close by 5:30pm.
The Idaho Falls Public Library and Friends of the Library welcome donations of used books and other such items as records, movies, puzzles, pictures, and so on. All donations to the Friends of the Library are tax deductible. For instructions about dropping off donations, call 208-612-8460 or visit the kiosk desk by the children’s library entry. If you have a large donation for pickup, leave a message for Dallas at 208-524-3316.
The Idaho Falls Public Library reserves the right to review donations and add items to our collection. We will give items that we don’t add to the Friends of the Library for their book sale. Any individual who wishes to purchase and donate a title specifically for our collection should speak to our library director before making the purchase.

The Friends of the Library publishes and mails a quarterly newsletter to active members of the group. The newsletter is also available to the public during book sales. The newsletter features valuable information about current events at the Idaho Falls Public Library as well as meetings and activities of the Friends of the Library. The newsletter shares interesting information on current books, popular authors, and trends in the library field.
If you are interested in joining the Friends of the Idaho Falls Public Library, download and fill out this form, then return it to the Idaho Falls Public Library. Membership dues are $8.00/year for households and $20.00/year for organizations. Lifetime memberships are $100.00 for households and $150.00 for organizations.

The Friends of the Idaho Falls Public Library created their endowment fund in January 2011 to institute a permanent income stream to support the Idaho Falls Public Library. Donors may give cash, securities, real estate, life insurance, gifts by will, and memorial gifts. Gifts are tax deductible.
