The computer room at the Idaho Falls Public Library is located on our second floor near the north doors. The room offers 30 public access terminals and black and white laser printing for $0.10 per page. Our computers are open to all Idaho Falls Public Library patrons as well as adult guests without library cards†.
You can use our computers to browse the internet, check email, connect on social media, prepare documents and files using Microsoft Office products, search for jobs, complete online applications, and much more. If you plan to watch videos, play games, listen to music, or otherwise need to hear sound while on the computer, bring headphones. You cannot download and install software from the internet on library computers. Bring your own USB drive if you plan to create and save files such as a resume or a school paper.
For your security, when you log off a library computer, it will reset and erase all the files you created as well as your internet activity. Library staff in the computer room are available to help you log into the computer and open available software programs. If you need additional help beyond this, we can help you find online tutorials.
†Guest passes are only available to adults over age 18 (learn more).
