Book Concierge

Reading Programs

Our reading programs exist for our readers. We think about you when we create them. We think about your reading experience. We think about ways to help you explore new horizons and continually redisover the reasons you love to read!

Extreme Book Nerd

This program runs annually from January through mid-December. Read 50 books from 50 different categories. Complete the challenge and earn an Extreme Book Nerd hoodie. Sign up anytime between January and the end of July.

Extreme Book Nerd for Kids

This year-long reading challenge for our junior patrons begins in February and ends in January of the following year. Read 25 books selected from 26 categories. Complete the challenge and earn an Extreme Book Nerd for Kids hoodies. Sign up anytime between January and the end of August.

Summer Reading

Summer brings many opportunities, not least of which include summer reading! Amidst your summer play, take time to relax in the cool shade with a book. Just picture it … the birds are singing, there are kids playing nearby, there is a cool breeze in the shade … and there you are, kicked back with an exciting new book … the feel of the pages … the smell of the book … summer will never be complete without reading. Keep your summer in balance by signing up for the Idaho Falls Public Library’s Summer Reading program.

Winter Reading

When it gets cold in Idaho Falls, it stays cold. And sometimes it’s downright dreary. But wait! There are thousands of bright and exciting new adventures waiting for you at the Idaho Falls Public Library.
