Families with kids aged 0-12 can sign up for the annual Idaho Falls Public Library Family Winter Reading challenge! This challenge begins on Monday, December 2, 2024 and ends on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up online using an adult’s account at ifpl.beanstack.com or pick up a paper log at the Children’s desk starting Monday, December 2nd. Limit one log per family.
- Read together as a family for 55 days. At least one adult and one child must read together.
- Earn a game of your choice that can be enjoyed by the whole family!

During the month of December, search throughout the Children’s department of the Idaho Falls Public Library and find the hidden candy canes!

During the month of December, come to the Children’s department of the Idaho Falls Public Library and write letters to Santa and leave it in the Santa Mail mailbox!

This next series of coding classes will run for 6 weeks and be held Tuesday through Saturday from 4:00-5:00pm on the second floor of the Idaho Falls Public Library.
Classes start Tuesday, December 10th, and end Saturday, January 18th.
Sign up to attend just one of the daily sessions, then attend each week on that day until the end of the course.*
Each daily session is limited to 10 students and is open to junior library patrons, ages 8-12.
Don’t wait to sign up! Spots fill up very quickly.
**No classes will be held December 24th, 25th, or January 1st.
