Book Making Classes

Book Making Classes @ Idaho Falls Public Library 2nd Floor

Join the Idaho Falls Public Library for a book making class on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm on the 2nd floor.

There is no additional charge if you have an IFPL membership, or there is a $10 admittance fee without.

  • January 17 – Pop-up Valentines
  • February 21 – Celtic star book
  • March 20 – Traditional Japanese books (flutter and stab)
  • April – No class this month
  • May 15 – French link with soft covers

  • In order to make sure that you receive a kit, please register for the following events:

  • June 12 – Secret book safe **REGISTRATION CLOSED** If you have not registered, you can still attend and receive instructions, but there are no more kits available for this event.

All families are invited to join the NEW Idaho Falls Public Library Family STEM Adventures!

Here are our scheduled themes for June 2024:

  • Saturday, June 8—Sun Baked: The Science of Solar Ovens
  • Friday, June 14—Dinosaurs and Fossils
  • **Saturday, June 22—Dinosaurs with Idaho Museum of Natural History**
  • Friday, June 28—Chemistry: Acids and Bases

**Come for a Special Event!**

On June 22nd, Robert Gay, the Education Curator and paleontologist at the Idaho Museum of Natural History will be at the Idaho Falls Public Library.

Come learn all about Idaho’s dinosaurs! Big and small, terrifying and tender, Idaho’s dinosaurs had it all.

Learn from a brief presentation about the ongoing research into the Cretaceous world of Idaho, and then get hands-on with both replica and original Idaho dinosaur fossils.

We’ll look at:

  • The caring parenting style of Idaho’s state dinosaur, Oryctodromeus
  • The new research about the enormous murder-chicken Gigantoraptor, and
  • The elusive other creatures that roamed the forests 100 million years ago.

Come curious, leave amazed!

June’s Challenge: Robotics and Machines

Build futuristic robots, ingenious machines, and mechanical wonders. Create a robot helper or a simple machine, let your imagination engineer the future. Explore with technology and innovation!


  • Meet and collaborate with fellow LEGO enthusiasts in your community.
  • Explore the endless possibilities of LEGO bricks and take part in engaging, hands-on learning.
  • Ignite your imagination with our fun monthly challenges that will keep you coming back.

LEGO Day at your Library Makerspace is the perfect place to be inspired, learn, and create while having a fantastic time.

The Idaho Falls Public Library is excited to announce a new program, called “Pop in and Play”!


The next set of Pop In and Play will begin on April 23rd.

There will be toys and activities for children to play with each time, as well as different themes to be rotated.

  • Date: Tuesday, May 7th – Time: 11am to 2pm
  • Date: Wednesday, May 22nd – Time: 2pm to 5pm
